Hello my name is Malinda O’Dell and I am the owner at Grassroots Salon and Spa. I have been here at Grassroots for 25+ years however, I took ownership in 2022. I have over 25 years of experience as a stylist and have such passion for hair and the science behind it. I specialize in all things color, grey coverage, dimensional blonding and extensions. In 2015 I was recognized as the Rocky Mountain Pacific Northwest Stylist of the year; I was also fortunate enough to be a part of Aveda Jam in 2018. Another passion of mine is teaching. I am an Aveda Purefessional for color, meaning I get to educate other stylists within the Aveda network, as well as a licensed instructor for the state of Utah. I have successfully instructed 8 wonderfully talented women to become licensed cosmetologists, many of them currently working here alongside me. When I am not behind the chair I love being with my family. My husband and I have raised two children and now are proud grandparents of four. We also have a fur baby named Finlee. My family and I love spending summers on the lake and winters sitting around the kitchen table.
