Chemical Peel Treatments
CHEMICAL PEELS

We are pleased to offer a variety of customized chemical peels from level 1 (superficial) through level 3 (deep) for the treatment of wrinkles, discolored skin (hyperpigmentation), and scars on the face. A chemical peel is a procedure in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the top layers. The skin that grows back is smoother. Chemical peels are an in depth exfoliation and can not be applied over broken (or heavily exfoliated) skin. Downtime is between 1-5 days depending on the chemical peel depth.
Level 1
Light chemical peel. A light (superficial) chemical peel removes the outer layer of skin (epidermis). It is used to treat fine lines and wrinkles, acne, uneven skin tone and dryness. Level 1 peels can be repeated every 2-5 weeks.
Level 2
Medium chemical peel. A medium chemical peel removes skin cells from the epidermis and from portions of the upper layer of the dermis. It is used to treat fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone and acne scars. Level 2 peels can be repeated every 4-6 weeks.
Level 3
Deep chemical peel. A deep chemical peel removes even deeper skin cells. Our providers might recommend this treatment for deep lines and wrinkles, scars. Level 3 peels may not require repeated treatments for results but can be repeated if necessary.

Chemical Peel Prep
Avoid exfoliating for at least 7 days prior to your appointment. Avoid active skin care creams/serums or any products that can dry out your skin for 3 days prior to your appointment. Avoid excessive sun exposure for 7-10 days both pre and post chemical peel. SPF is CRITICAL after chemical peels so ensure you have one of your preferences on hand.
