Hello my name is Malinda O’Dell and I am the owner here at Grassroots Salon and Spa. I have been here at Grassroots for 25 years however, I took ownership in 2022. I have over 25 years of experience behind the chair, I have such passion for hair and the science behind it. Behind the chair I specialize in all things color, grey coverage, dimensional blonding and extensions. In 2015 I was recognized as the Rocky Mountain Pacific Northwest Stylist of the year; I was also fortunate enough to be apart of Aveda Jam in 2018. Another passion of mine is teaching, I am a certified color trainer for Aveda, as well as a licensed instructor for the state of Utah. I have successfully instructed 8 wonderfully talented women to become licensed cosmetologist, many of them currently working here alongside me.
When I am not behind the chair I love being with my family. My husband and I raised two children and now are proud grandparents of four, we also have a fur baby named Finlee. My family and I love spending summers on the lake and winters sitting around the kitchen table.
